It’s possible to grow a church, but never make disciples. It’s entirely possible for a church to grow on Sunday mornings, see its bottom line expand, even see its ministry reach extend … but still miss the point.
What does it mean for a church to grow?
Acts isn’t a prescription for church. Instead, it’s an explanation for the church. Acts tells a simple-and-timeless story: As God’s people show remarkable courage, God shows Himself remarkably faithful. As a six-week series, Emboldened will give us a glimpse into the life of the early church, and help us understand how the church really grows.
