Ephesians Week 4 // June 11, 2023
Join us as we dig into the book of Ephesians. Ephesians is a letter written by the apostle Paul to Christians living in the city of Ephesus in order to strengthen their faith, promote their unity, and exhort them to holiness. He reminds them of God’s great grace and the spiritual blessings every believer possesses. He prays for them to grow in their knowledge of God and what He has done for them in Christ. He emphasizes grace in the salvation of believers and prays that they would be able to comprehend the love of Christ and that they would be filled with the fullness of God. Week 4 Pastor Brannon Marshall unpacks Ephesians 2:1-10 where we see the reality that every person apart from Christ is dead in trespasses and sin, unable to make themselves alive or save themselves. And then the two great words – “But God” – lead us to the beautiful hope proclaimed that God, being rich in mercy, through His grace provided Jesus to pay the price for our sin, making us alive, raising us and seating us with Him, for all who He calls and confess Him as Lord of their life.
