How long have you been a Christian, and how did you come to Christ?
I came to know Christ during a service here at NCC. Larry Bennett was preaching about salvation and praying to be filled with the Holy Spirit. That moment I accepted Him and my life became changed forever.
How long have you been at the North Canton Chapel, and what brought you here?
My wife Dianna and I have attended North Canton Chapel for 25 years. We were invited to a Christmas Cantata by a friend. We liked the music and the friendliness of the church. We new this was the place we wanted our children to learn about Jesus. We have been members ever since.
How has being an Elder shaped you, or allowed you to grow in your faith?
In Timothy 3, Paul writes about being an overseer in the church and what that means. Living a life of godliness, self control, being hospitable, a teacher, to live respectably are some of the requirements he lists. Because I am an Elder I am challenged every day to be a better person and love others. My prayer life grows daily and as I see answers to prayers my faith grows deeper each day.
Tell us something interesting about yourself.
I am blessed in so many ways. My family always supports me and they live nearby. They show me and teach me about love and kindness. I am all about anything outdoors, running, hiking, mountain climbing, traveling, sitting by a fire, fishing, and just looking up at the stars on a clear night. I love to serve alongside my wife of over 40 years here at NCC and anywhere we are called.
